FOCUS ON FOLDERS
Three steel single doors with lock latch , levers and thumbturn locks were installed at Applegreen service station ( Lusk ) by Fireblock in 2017 , as well as one steel double door with panic bar and external access / access control key pad .
One steel single door with one-point panic bar , fire door signage ( connected to fire alarm for added safety ) was also installed by Fireblock at Applegreen service station . take several employees 15 minutes to produce a metal door frame , this can now be done in four minutes with just one employee .
“ In addition to the increase in efficiency , the automatic bending of the frames also brought a leap in quality , particularly for further processing of the frame elements . The side sections are inserted with the top section in pre-fabricated templates and can be welded together to form a complete door frame without any preparatory work ,” commented RAS .
The Multibend-Center is not only used for door panels . It also bends sheet metal parts from the Fireblock range and associated companies . This production synergy has increased the capacity utilisation of the bending centre , which matches the requirements of Fireblock product range components . With automatic loading via two loading stations , a further increase in productivity is possible with automation on the out-feed side of the finished bent parts .
Looking to the future
To this end , Fireblock is planning further optimisations on the Multibend-Center , particularly for parts dispensing . The use of an unloading robot and a pallet station promise even greater efficiency . RAS bending specialists will support these forward-looking developments .
