From machine building to offshore and from heavy lifting to earthmoving , Tosec produces customer-specific sheet metal and construction work . This includes XXL sheet-metal working to construction assemblies of up to 40m long . It has a versatile range of machine tools and aims for rapid , reliable delivery . Tosec is ISO 9001 , ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090-2 certified and has re-marking authority .
Long bending and long profiles are used in the on- / offshore sector , trailer construction and in conveyor belts as well as shipbuilding , civil engineering and hydraulic engineering . Due to the large pressing force of Tosec ’ s machines , it also provides the option of bending highstrength steel and wear-resistant steel .
Tosec manufactures a range of parts for civil engineering construction , for example , including roof racks , anchor seats ; pontoons ; parts for bridges and complete steel constructions . In addition to sheet-metal work , operations such as breaking edges , pre-processing welding edges or sawing profiles are also part of its daily work . It also bends a wide range of profiles in steel sheet .

However , the company did not opt overnight for its most recent investment . Several competing brands were assessed .
“ In the end , the decisive factor was the opinion of our people on the shop floor . Based on their experiences with the machines and SafanDarley ’ s service , the management chose the new model ,” Nieboer explained .
An eye on customisation
The H-Brake 320T Ultra supplied to Tosec is a special version with an enlarged Q-size .
“ The machine was purchased as an expansion investment that needs to be widely applicable [ versatile ]. That means lots of power , wide , deep and high , so we can make almost anything on it . Moreover , it features an E-bend L angle measurement system . That saves a lot of time on the machine , because we are also constantly looking for staff . Another benefit for the future is the possibility of offline programming . We don ’ t do that yet , but we will definitely use this option in the future ,” explained
Ruben Nieboer .
SafanDarley ’ s E-Bend L Blue angle measurement system uses two blue laser sensors one each side of the table . The new blue laser sensors offer an important benefit compared to the usual red sensors . Red laser light has an almost identical wavelength to natural light , which means the measurement is often affected by local conditions . The blue light spectrum of the E-Bend L Blue is much easier to distinguish from “ natural ” light so reflections and sunlight do not interfere with the measurement . This , SafanDarley told ISMR , guarantees a final product with high angle precision .
“ All in all , SafanDarley was very thoughtful and looked at what was important to us . So , just like us , it also provides customised solutions ,” concluded Ruben Nieboer . n

SafanDarley is a global specialist in developing and building press brakes and shears for thin and thick sheet metal . It also provides automated , modular and software solutions for bending sheet metal in future production environments , contributing to lower energy consumption , higher productivity and cost savings .
The company has two production plants , a head office in Lochem and a branch in Eijsden ( the Netherlands ). It employs approximately 200 members of staff . On its stand at the EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover ( October 2022 ), it set up a special area to represent the production environment of the future . The automatic Mini Cell and R-Brake bending cell were installed there and , during the exhibition , the R-Brake 130T produced fork-lift parts . The company also showcased its I-Mate intelligent CNC bending aid , installed on the E-Brake 130T Ultra press brake , and its new Hybrid press brake model , the H-Brake Hybrid + 230T Ultra .
