You can then produce bending profiles without turning them around or over – with an array of possible profile variations . Several parallel , tapered or overlapped profiles can be bent simultaneously , an innovation that increases the speed of an operator ’ s work ,” Jorns told ISMR .

automatic loading and unloading table as well as the individually driven clamping fingers allow maximum precision , flexibility and productivity . Thanks to two bending tools , material handling has also been drastically reduced . The consistent calculation of processing and stop positions according to the ‘ Shorten bending according to DIN 6935 ’ method , intuitive graphic programming , high levels of angular accuracy and the uniformly closed water folds are all an integral part of the JDB ,” it added .

PROfirst CAD / CAM software was due to display several new and updated modules at EuroBLECH 2020 . Its 3D-Unfolder module for sheet metal parts processes components with improved tool-based adjustment of the bending factor and is much faster with its assembly-analyser recognising identical parts . A new web calculation module enables customers to determine the prices for DXF / DWG / STEP sheet metal parts online .
Founded in 1929 , RAS builds metal bending , cutting and forming equipment , as well as fabrication software . As well as manufacturing folders , its 63.30 XL-Center control software is specifically designed for roofing and architectural profile bending . Its SMARTcut swing beam CNC shear is designed for cutting and shearing .
The XLTbend Updown folder , from RAS , is designed to form complex precision sheetmetal parts , such as cassettes , panels and boxes , even in small batches . The oneclick programming software , front and rear operating options as well as the hybrid gauging system are some of the features of the XLT series .
“ When the need arises to fold complex parts , the folding direction can change several times . The UpDownBend folding system can achieve this without the need to flip the part . The flexible system enables higher productivity and throughput ,” explained RAS .
The RAS MiniBendCenter is an automatic folding centre for small parts . Blanks are automatically fed , squared and measured . Tool set-up is all automatic . A manipulator moves and rotates the blank automatically to the exact position . The folding cell folds the part up and down .
For the automated bending of long profiles , the RAS XXL long folding centre automatically inserts , squares , positions to the bend line and folds the flanges up or down . This , says RAS , eliminates rotation , complicated handling and the need for a second or third operator .
Straight bends are essential for well folded parts . The RAS Gigantic is a sturdy and solid machine with an intelligent crowning system and 120 tons of clamping pressure to fold parts of 6mm mild steel or 4mm stainless steel .
