CNC front sheet followers for deep-box bending .

Customised bending

ACCURL CNC Machine Tools ( Anhui ) Co ., LTD , produces CNC machine tools and sheet metal processing equipment . It offers a wide range of precision machines such as press brakes ; laser cutting machines ; shears and CNC punch presses .
“ Our machine tool quality is a result of strong materials , thoughtful design and intuitive controls , along with additional options and add-ons that can be used to modify machines to fit the needs of customers ,” the Chinese sheet metal specialist told ISMR .
Its GENIUS press brake range is fully configurable to customer requirements . The standard press brake range features models with capacities from 40 to 2000 tons . ACCURL also builds bending machinery with different configurations , upon customer request . It described one such example to ISMR .
“ Early in 2020 , we received an enquiry from a Czech customer . He had been looking for one qualified and premium manufacturer to meet his bending requirement for a large box up to 600mm deep . He had watched a few ACCURL press brake videos on YouTube and then contacted us through our website . We explained that our high-end CNC metal fabrication machines are mainly exported to Europe , the United States , Australia etc . and are built according to European CE safety standards and American standards ,” Elvis Dong , ACCURL ’ s deputy general manager , explained .
“ After receiving the customer ’ s workpiece drawings , our engineers carried out pressure analysis , deformation mechanics analysis and simulations using SolidWorks software to validate the bending effect on the workpiece . In the end , we designed a customised pressbrake for this Czech customer .”
The customised version was based on the standard configuration of the GENIUS pressbrake range , which features a Delem DA66T 3D CNC control unit with Profile-T3D offline software ; 4-axis model ( Y1 , Y2 , X , R axes ); CNC crowning compensation ; ECO POWER technology ; a CNC front support follower ( 2 × 180kg ); CE Norms : Lazersafe Systems PCSS
A1 + IRIS and an ACCURL-designed doublesided clamp-holder . ACCURL ’ s Genuis B25110 was specially configured for deep box bending for this customer ( 960mm daylight , 450mm throat and 350mm stroke ).
“ Due to the COVID-19 epidemic , the customer could not personally inspect the machine . We therefore took photos and videos in accordance with the details agreed with the customer . Online videos of the entire bending process ( import of drawings , parameter settings and unfolded bending process ) were all shown to the customer . The customer professed himself very satisfied and accepted the customised press brake ,” added Elvis Dong .
The Hybrid Eco Function on this press brake is a hybrid servo-drive system . Depending upon cycle characteristics and rating , servodrives can offer substantial energy savings to manufacturers .
