CLAREMONT RESORT & CLUB
CLAREMONT RESORT & CLUB
Set on 22 acres in the Berkeley and Oakland Hills, Claremont Resort & Club offers both active recreation and restorative healing. The resort features a large aquatics complex with three mineral pools and dedicated lap swimming, along with eight tennis courts, four pickleball courts and an indoor fitness center.
“ At Claremont, we believe wellness should feel personal rather than prescriptive,” says General Manager Edward Roe.“ Some guests may want to start their morning with yoga and spend the afternoon by one of our heated saline pools, while others may recharge through a hike in the Berkeley Hills, meditation, or simply slowing down and taking in the Bay views.”
Claremont also offers more than 75 weekly fitness classes and other personalized programming designed to meet the needs of each individual guest. The resort also just introduced a new outdoor infrared sauna offering red light therapy meant to aid recovery.
“ Wellness looks different for everyone,” Roe explains.“ Rather than offering a one-sizefits-all experience, guests can choose from a broad range of activities based on their interests, fitness level and goals, from mindful practices like meditation and restorative yoga to personal training, strength and conditioning, swimming, racquet sports and outdoor exploration.”
MIRAVAL
Life in balance. That’ s the Miraval philosophy. At Miraval, guests are encouraged to slip their phones into a sleeping bag and totally disconnect for the duration of their stay. With three distinctly different locations in the U. S. – located in Tucson, Arizona, Austin, Texas and in a leafy corner of The Berkshires in Massachusetts – the luxury all-inclusive wellness resort is designed to ease the stress of everyday life. The company recently opened its first international resort on the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.
Miraval guests are urged to pack their daily schedules with as much or as little as they desire. Meditation, yoga classes( including an aerial version), and cardio drumming tend to fill up fast. Visitors can also sign up to take part in adventure courses and conquer their fear of heights or dabble in beekeeping, Tai Chi or simply learn how to make cocktails or kombucha.
