Zorba’s Dance!
Following on from the very busy trophy
presentations, Barry Cryer, the comedy
writing legend received a standing ovation
for his after dinner speech at the Gala
Dinner. Fundraising during the course of the
weekend reached over £25,000, with an
estimated £60,000 overall being raised from
the event in total for sailing charities, adding
to the £1million plus that LBCC has been
raised since it began in 1988.
The LBCC is the biggest annual UK
gathering of senior construction and
property industry figureheads. Charities to
be supported by 2010 funds include the
Ellen MacArthur Trust; Jubilee Sailing Trust;
Skandia Team GBR Paralympic Sailing Team;
Cirdan Sailing Trust; Cowes Sea Cadets;
