EQUESTRIAN

Class, which he successfully completed without falling off!

home, not sure how I'm going
to get on the scooter though!
Competitive weekend
A thorough and imaginative
revamp of the cross country
fences preceded this year's
Somerton Cross Country event
in September, and course
builder John Found was rightly
congratulated on his designs.
The Isle of Wight Hunt
Supporters' club was delighted
by the numbers attending the
event, which ran over two days:
dressage and showjumping
on the Saturday and cross
country on the Sunday.
For the first time the event
78
was a qualifier for the 2007
South Essex Insurance
Brokers BHS Cross Country
Championships, and many local
firms, businesses and even
individuals acted as sponsors
for some of the fences.
The water jump proved
to be the stumbling block
for a majority of the riders,
adding to the spectacle.
I am sure everyone who
attended would like to thank the
host David Biles for the use of
his land and for his hospitality.
