Pop Up Opera proves
hit at the Garlic Farm
The Garlic Farm, at Newchurch played host to a young
cast, all professional opera singers, headed by Clementine
Lovell, who presented l’Elisir d’Amore.
The well-loved opera by Donizetti, was in Italian with
projected silent movie style captions to keep the audience
abreast of the story.
This year’s Pop Up Opera production promised to ‘resist
everything but temptation’ and judging by the audience’s
reaction, it did just that! Staged in the Education Centre at
The Garlic Farm, the cast delivered a great performance.
