New restaurant
manager for The
Hambrough
Daniel Edwards would like to
introduce our new Restaurant
Manager for The Hambrough,
Cedric Lesage who joins us
from Paris and his new partner
Maria Eisenzoph who will be
joining the team at The Pond
Café. We know they will be a
great contribution to the high
standards that you expect.
On the Rocks, which brought
ski-resort style hot rock cooking
to Yarmouth, is raising the
profile of its steaks to new
heights. Or should that be
widths?
“We’ve got a challenge going
on for real steak fans. If they
finish a 64oz steak they get
put on our Hall of Fame wall,
and get to go home with a tee
shirt.” says proprietor Richard
Thomas.
While the restaurant
was set up to celebrate
locally-produced meat, the
supersized steak challenge
is not for everyone. Chicken

and fish are also cooked on the
volcanic rock slabs, served with
chips and salad.
The first chap to make it to
the Hall of Fame wall was part
of a party of eight: since its
expansion at the turn of the year
On the Rocks is ideal for large
parties, while, with its original,
smaller room, more intimate
groups can be catered for at the
same time.
The latest innovation is the
On the Rocks dial-up rotisserie.
Anyone wanting a cooked
chicken or joint of meat during
the day can phone in their
order for a hot, tender joint
to take away. “I know it will
appeal to the yachties coming
in to Yarmouth and wanting
something quick, easy and tasty
to take back on board with
them,” said Richard. “But it
won’t only be holidaymakers
who use the service.”
