Race day to
remember
This year’s Isle of Wight Grand National & Ashey Scurry
proved to be another exciting day to remember. The event ran
exactly to plan – and even some dismal weather didn’t put
off the spectators, who turned out in full force. And, despite
there being a few fallers during the races, the good news was
that there were no injuries to either horses or riders.
As usual, David Biles carried out a grand job as commentator,
whilst the dedicated ladies in the refreshments tent kept
everybody suitably fed and watered with a great selection of
home-cooked delights … most notably the coffee cake!
