Bloodhounds

on Boxing Day

A

fabulously festive occasion was enjoyed
by the IW Farmers Bloodhounds and a
field of nearly forty riders, who along with
an enthusiastic crowd started the meet at
the lovely Shalcombe Manor with mulled
wine and mince pies.
Christmas dinner was worked off with
four runs and Saff, the quarry for the day,
worked off the most by successfully staying
ahead of the hounds all afternoon over
challenging terrain.
Plenty of jumps were available for the field
to enjoy, including some assembled in the
forest itself.

hosts, Mr & Mrs McKenzie at Shalcombe
Manor and Mr & Mrs Collins at Chessell
Pottery for letting us use their car park
and of course a big thank you to all the
landowners whose generosity enables us to
have such a great day.”
