Diamonds have long been associated with
glitz and glamour, going hand in hand with
sparkling evening gowns and of course the
festive season. Here at Laings we believe
that diamonds are too beautiful to save
just for special occasions. Diamonds aren’t
just for Christmas, they’re for everyday
occasions all year round.
Of course wearing diamonds everyday
is not a new concept; Queen of glamour
Zsa Zsa Gabor was renowned for never
been seen without her diamonds. Once
when complimented on her rocks while
appearing on a chat show she replied,
“Oh dahlink, these are just my working
diamonds.”
Back on planet earth, however, women
never really wore diamonds during
the day, unless of course it was an
engagement ring or wedding band.
Women also rarely bought diamonds for
themselves, as generally they were gifted
to them or inherited through the family.
Today though, it’s a different story, and
we’re seeing more and more women
buying diamonds for themselves to wear
on any occasion, whether that’s going
to work or meeting friends for a coffee.
Diamonds can be just at home with a pair
of jeans as they are with a designer dress.
