T
he East Cowes Marina Berth Holders
held their fifth annual Laying Up Dinner
at the Island Sailing Club, Cowes, with
66 members and guests attending. The event,
organised by the Berth Holders, also raises
money for local charities, and this year the

A raffle helped swell the funds to £1,100,
which was split between the three Lifeboats. Tim
Griffin, who helped organise the dinner, said: “We
would like to thank businesses and individuals in
Cowes and East Cowes who donated prizes for
the raffle, and sponsored the event.”
Entertainment was provided by the Island’s
Blue Train Function Band and local magician
Huxley Hunt.
