The opening meet (4th
November) of the Isle of
Wight
Foxhounds
was
held by kind permission of
William and Susie Smith
at their spectacular home
Westover House.
The meet attracted a strong
turnout, proving that hunting
is still an extremely popular
sport on the Island – in line
with regulations, trail hunting
was the order of the day.
Riders of all ages (from young
children to senior citizens)
and from a wide range of
backgrounds gathered for the
event - suggesting that this is
a sport that’s highly unlikely
to disappear from the Island.
Hazel Goody was presented
a cup by David Biles for “The
most successful Point to Point
Island based owner of the
year.”
