Monday 6 at 10am
Rockpool Rummage - Bring the family and
join Wildlife Trust staff to explore the rocky
shore at Bembridge Ledges and discover
the wildlife hidden there. Please bring
drinking water, sun protection and suitable
footwear to provide protection while rock
pooling. No dogs please. Park at the Lane
End car park near the Lifeboat Station
then use the steps to get onto the beach,
turn right and walk for about 200 yards.
Thursday 9 from 10am-4pm
Marine Awareness Day at Fort Victoria
Find out about Operation Seahorse, our
local marine life and what you can do to
help, while the children take part in the
plaice race, have their hand painted like a
cuttlefish or enjoy the Cool Seas Roadshow.
Saturday 11 from 10am-4pm

Marine Discovery on Ryde beach - Find out

include a sand art display with children
producing their own artistic pieces.
Thursday 23 from 11am-3.30pm
Shoresearch Wildlife Trust Marine Officer,
Vicky Swales, will be giving an
illustrated talk about the Shoresearch
project from 11am-12noon. After
lunch, a practical rock pooling session
will take place on the beach to the
right of the Lifeboat Station between
1.30 and 3.30pm. Please remember
to bring sun protection, drinking water
and suitable footwear for this part
of the day. No dogs please. For the
afternoon, please park at the Lane
End car park near the Lifeboat Station.
