IN THE HEAT
New cheese from
IW Cheese Co.
Fresh from their success
at The World Cheese
Awards, The Isle of Wight
Cheese Company are
ready to launch their third
cheese Nipper's Nammet.
The unpasteurised cheese
is made at Queen Bower
Dairy near Alverstone
using milk from the farm's
very own Guernsey herd.
Nipper's Nammet is
a semi-hard, pressed
cheese that resembles
the Italian cheese Bel
Paese although it's creator,
Richard Hodgson is quick
to point out that he doesn't
follow the recipe entirely.
"It's exciting for me as with
the IOW Blue and the IOW
Soft I've used traditional
methods whereas with the
Nammet, I've been bending
the rules. I've been forging
it with a lactic smelter"
Nipper's Nammet will be
available from the Island
Farmers' Markets towards
the end of August.

Catering - in the wet?
It may have been the wettest
summer for years, but it didn’t
deter All About Catering from
preparing and cooking their
delicious food at a record
number of weddings this year.
From BBQs to banquets,
David Rogers and his team
carried on regardless.
‘There was only one day
when we had to don wellies
and waterproofs, but we
still managed to prepare
a hot 3 course wedding
dinner in a marquee for
150 guests’ said David.
‘The majority of our brides
come from the mainland and
are looking for something
different for their wedding but I
don’t think they were expecting
tropical monsoon weather.’
All About Catering specialise
in outside and event catering
and will have catered for over
2,500 wedding guests between
May and September. The Isle of
Wight is definitely the place for
a great wedding – wet or dry!!
