FASHION, HEALTH & BEAUTY life Dental diary A recent patient of Dr Sattar from Wootton Dental practice talks to Roz Whistance Margaret (we’ve changed her name to protect her privacy) has had trouble with her teeth most of her life. Now in her early 70s, she came to Dr Sattar who's based at Wootton Bridge Dental Practice when her two front became so wobbly that she feared that they would fall out. She had been attending her previous dentist on the Island on a regular basis for many years. However her son noticed that she was in constant pain and suggested that she pay a visit to Dr Sattar for a second opinon. This advice proved to be invaluable, because only after one visit and thorough examination she was advised that her teeth were in a very bad state, in fact so bad that none of her remaining teeth could be salvaged. Dr Sattar advised that all the remaining teeth had to be removed due to previous poor dental work and misdiagnosis. The main problem appeared to be poor root canal treatments and long standing gum and bone disease. Despite these problems the teeth were crowned which should not have been done.
