The closing of 2016 marks our second year as Isla Mar . We welcomed an intern , established new relationships with colleagues in our field , applied for five grants , among many other new initiatives detailed in these pages . We are discovering how fast news travels , as visitors and locals alike recognize our logo and recount what they already know about Isla Mar . We are humbled and excited for what 2017 will bring us . Thanks for following our journey and supporting our dream .
