Dry skin – Dry skin is an extremely common complaint in those over 60 years of age . Over 64 years of age , 75 % of people have dry skin . 29 Decreased barrier function and impaired barrier lipid synthesis result in and are associated with dry skin and have high relevance in an aging population . 30 Dry skin , however , is certainly not limited to the aged .
