WELLthier

Your health is your wealth . While most people agree , oftentimes when we feel good , sleep well , and are painfree , health is easily taken for granted .

by Sylvia Galelli

It isn ’ t until we feel sluggish , lack mental focus , or are faced with a health challenge that we become aware of just how central health is to our daily lives . Health is connected to every aspect of our wellbeing . It influences our physical performance , energy level , mental acuity , and even our mood ! WELLth is a concept that defines health as an asset . By extension , WELLthier is a greater level of wellness .

Do you spring out of bed and spend the day feeling alert , focused , and energized ?
Or do you wake up hitting the snooze button several times , eventually getting up to run to your first must-have cup of coffee ? I think you ’ ll agree that the first scenario is definitely better !
It ’ s very empowering to know that lifestyle is a major factor that determines health . Therefore , to a great extent , your level WELLth is within your control ! So , if the pandemic has you feeling down or sluggish and you want to ramp up your energy and vitality , read on and learn what you can do to become WELLthier ! ;)
Let ’ s continue with the WELLth and wealth analogy .
Suppose you want to accumulate financial wealth . What is the most important thing you need to do ? My guess is that you ’ re thinking , “ Earn more money .” But what if you start earning more money - let ’ s say an extra $ 10,000 annually - and at the same time , you start spending an extra $ 20,000 annually . Yikes … you would not become any wealthier at all ! This simple math demonstrates that to accumulate a wealth balance , deposits need to be greater than withdrawals . WELLth works the same way ! The net result of maximizing deposits ( health boosters ) while concurrently minimizing withdrawals ( health detractors ) will allow you to accrue a larger balance . In other words , you become WELLthier !
