Building Patient ( Business ) Relationships , One Communication at a Time | by Jezra Kaye
3 Have a Flexible Conversation Plan . Sometimes , when we approach an important conversation , our brains are so filled with facts , figures , and possible things to say that it ’ s hard to navigate our own thoughts , let alone the conversation .
Fortunately , there ’ s a simple way to manage this common problem : ask yourself , if I could say just one thing to this person , what would that one thing be ?
Imagine walking into your meeting with your patient , saying one sentence , and then walking out ! That sentence is the most important thing you have to say , and if you can identify it ( I call it your “ key message ”), you ’ ll have the security of knowing that you are definitely going to make your point .
“ Take a few seconds to inventory your state of mind .”
Business Conversations are as Easy as 1-2-3 First , check out your state of mind .
To make things easy for your conversational partner , be easy to see and easy to hear , and be considerate of their time constraints .
And finally , know your most important message and three points that support it before you start the conversation . This will boost your confidence and make you more flexible , and you won ’ t find yourself fumbling .

Now imagine that your patient says , “ That ’ s an interesting treatment I would like to explore . Can you tell me three short things about it ?” Bingo ! Three is the magic number in public speaking , and more than enough time to sell someone on receiving the treatment you are dying to provide them or simply trying a new skincare product to ensure they maintain those beautiful post-treatment results . speakupforsuccess . com / public-speakingtip-19-make-instant-speeches

What ’ s more , if you ’ ve thought about those three supporting points in advance , you ’ re much less likely to start rambling or to hesitate over how to make your best argument . I call this “ the Instant Speech format .”
