Not only is Botox a favorite treatment , but it ’ s also one of the most requested treatments for wrinkles . Botox is ideal for the treatment of dynamic wrinkles , the wrinkles that occur with movement . However , it ’ s not ideal for static wrinkles , the wrinkles that get etched in our skin .
The beauty of chemical peels is their safety , even on difficult pigment , such as melasma , and the fact that they can be used to treat all skin types .
Laser Genesis is my preferred treatment for rosacea and other diffuse redness . This laser works by targeting the hemoglobin in the microvasculature to effectively treat these vessels . There is no downtime with Laser Genesis , and patients achieve excellent results .
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Wrinkles are often the first skin condition that brings patients to my practice . They start to see a wrinkle here or a fold there , and they don ’ t want to look as though they are aging .

For static wrinkles as well as fine lines , radiofrequency microneedling ( RFMN ) is an excellent treatment option . During a RFMN treatment , tiny needles are deployed , and , simultaneously , radiofrequency energy is deposited into the skin . Neocollagenesis and neoelastinogenesis are stimulated , resulting in wrinkle reduction and skin tightening .
For patients who present with deep wrinkles due to volume loss , dermal fillers work wonders . Hyaluronic acid fillers , such as Juvéderm or Restylane , are the most common fillers utilized . However , Sculptra Aesthetic is a preferred filler in my practice . Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid ( PLLA ) that is injected into the dermis . This filler works different than the hyaluronic acid fillers because it rejuvenates and volumizes the skin by stimulating collagen production .
With so many wonderful treatments available , the options to address the multitude of skin concerns can be endless . As more technologies come to market , choosing my favorite treatments becomes more challenging . Some of our treatments will address only one condition , while others can treat more than one issue at a time . The treatments that are able to tackle multiple concerns at once offer more versatility for my patients and often top my list of favorites
