The seasonal consultation is when clients should be advised of products and treatments recommended to help them transition through the upcoming season with minimal difficulties .
As the upcoming season approaches , consultations should anticipate the occurrence of specific issues – while focusing on avoiding them , if possible .
• Winter – dehydration , barrier impairment , sensitivity and “ winter itch ” ( extreme sensitivity of winter , a type of eczema ), inflammation .
• Spring – a time to focus on maintenance of good skincare practices and any developing issues .
• Summer – inflammation , hyperpigmentation , barrier impairment related to water exposure / sports .
• Fall – focus on maintenance and addressing existing issues .
In all seasons , clients should choose , at a minimum :
• A cleanser
• An eye product
• An antioxidant treatment serum
• A sun care product
