Is there anything you would like to buzz for fall?
As we move into the fall and holiday season, we have several exciting initiatives planned:
Halloween Events: We support officers’ participation in organized, safe and fun
Halloween activities for children and families in our community. It’ s a friendly way for officers to interact with youth, providing a great opportunity for positive interactions between law enforcement and residents.
Thanksgiving Meal Distribution: Contributions to the Foundation fund the opportunity for Metro to provide meals to more than 500 families in need during the Thanksgiving season, ensuring everyone has a warm holiday meal. It’ s a wonderful way to show that law enforcement cares about the communities they serve. Additional funding will enable us to secure meals for more low-income families.
Shop With a Cop / Santa Cop: These programs are particularly special, as they allow children from underserved neighborhoods to go holiday shopping with police officers. It’ s a heartwarming experience that fosters trust and builds lasting relationships between our youth and law enforcement.
Clockwise from top: Maria Cardenas, LVMPD officer Kairo Flores, Desere Ortiz, Alexandra Cruz-Lemus and Sergio Cruz-Cardenas; guests enjoy the Best of the Badge Gala 2023; LVMPD Honor Guard and Las Vegas Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps.
