• Know with certainty the condition of mill and kiln gear teeth , conducted by mill and kiln experts in 8 hours under optimal conditions .
• Accurately predict gear degradation and avoid flipping problem gears .
• Our inspection process for the gear is conducted in accordance with ASTM E2905 , for macro-pitting and cracking . A visual inspection is done concurrently per AGMA 1010-F14 characterizing the failure modes present , if any , their severity , and how these might impact the operational function of the mill . A clean gear set is mandatory for this analysis .
• For pre-flip inspections , the joint structure and 2 windows on either side are cleaned and inspected visually , and where needed with MPI .
• The final digital report provides a concise insight for the maintenance team and insurance industry on the level of exposure being presented by the current drive flank and the suitability of the gear for flipping and operating on the other flank .
