RSF is an industrial steel and aluminum fabrication shop and machining manufacturing facility located in the heart of Minnesota ' s Iron Range . RSF originally started in Hibbing over 100 years ago as an automotive shop owned and operated by the Lee family . Over the years the family expanded the business to include roofing and fabrication services . Eventually the company split into three entities : Range Cornice and Roofing , Range Heating and Sheet Metal , and Range Steel Fabricators . One of the first projects RSF completed was fabricating the steel that is supporting the iconic Iron Man statue in Chisholm .
