The Irish was the second largest nationality to immigrate to America. More people came from Germany than Ireland. Women of Ireland came by themselves to live in the United States.

Irish immigrants started coming to America in 1847. Irish immigrants came to America from Ireland. Irish immigrants came to America because they were pushed out of Ireland because of religious conflicts. When they came to America they were seeking religious freedom.
Most of the people that came from Ireland lived in New York and Philadelphia. Also, the women from Ireland had high levels of mental illness. Irish immigrants experience was not easy, many who arrived to America knew few skills besides cooking, cleaning, and they knew a little bit on how to work in factories.
German immigration is somewhat similar to Irish immigration.
