Autumn 2013 CADILLAC There's no buying a Cadillac in Ireland, but we couldn't pass up this absolutely fantastic Elmiraj Concept which previews a possible large luxury coupe from the American luxury brand in a couple of years' time. Sumptuous is the word, apt if you figure any production version of this one would be going directly up against the Merc S-Class Coupe which also concepted to great if not lustful interest at this show. CHEVROLET Again, nothing for Ireland here, but a halo for the Chevy brand in Europe and an icon in its home country. This new Corvette Stingray made its first Europe outing at this show, and will shortly be tried out at Nurburgring to give the most powerful Corvette ever some Euro cred. A 6.2 V8 with a nominally mild 460hp offers a 4.2secs sprint under expert flicking of its 7-speed manual transmission. There was a convertible version too. 32
