Let’s start
with a basic fact;
a community that
will have long
term economic
sustainability will be
one that supports
outstanding public
education. One
of the most basic
economic pillars
for any successful
community is a
diverse, strong
business climate.
Perhaps now more than ever, businesses
are seeking to locate or expand into a
community that can provide them with welleducated employees.
Is it any wonder that Iredell County
is one of the fastest growing counties in the
state? We certainly benefit from our proximity
to one of the Southeast’s fastest growing
metro regions but we have maximized that
relationship through the focus on providing
extraordinary, diverse public education options.
Businesses choose to come to Iredell County
over others in our region as they know that
public school graduates can provide them a
flexible, well-educated workforce.
The word “partnership” is often used
but underutilized. In the case of IredellStatesville Schools and the local business
community, “partnership” doesn’t begin to
adequately describe the relationship. On a
daily basis, we work wi
