normal here, because the pace is slower and things
are more spread out.” Noting that it is hard to be
gone from home for such a long period of time,
Richard said that he catches up with his family using
face time.
Kenny Fletcher summed up the experience in his
remark, “Now I want to go to other countries. Words
cannot describe how amazing it is to travel like this.
I’d also like to live where a lot of stuff is going on all
the time!”
A wonderful ambassador for Iredell-Statesville
Schools, Kenny Fletcher will be concluding his
super-senior year of studies at Mitchell College.
Richard Chen will again attend school this year in
Burlington. Will they stay in touch? “Oh yes!” they
both agreed. “Forever!”
