RISING STARS
L enny Koslianti joined Catch just nine months ago and is now working as the head of technology for operations and fulfilment . With a retail background across grocery and health and beauty , she quickly established herself and positioned her team to drive the stabilisation of Catch ’ s new fully automated fulfilment centre .
Lenny grew up in a small town in Indonesia with just one traffic light . Growing up , she worked in her extended family ’ s 70-year-old salted fish retail and wholesale business , which helped her learn the trade from a young age .
Some of the positive attributes that have contributed to her rising status include her ‘ can-do ’ attitude , her passion for progress and innovation , and her ability to build a high-performing team around herself . As Lenny ’ s responsibilities have grown , and her team has become larger , she has been

able to establish new operating models , and drive people around her to move the dial more than they otherwise believed they could .
Lenny ’ s career is marked by many proud moments , including her time as an IT business partner at Toll , where she supported $ 800 million in revenue , 70-plus warehouses and transport depots , and 5000 team members . Her experience at Toll was challenging at times , as the company faced two cyber attacks within three months , just as the effects of Covid-19 were beginning to emerge . However , she conducted weekly calls with major customers , learned very quickly about cyber resilience , and developed the mental strength to thrive in the end .
She is driven to make an impact on the people around her , including Catch ’ s customers and stakeholders , and feels a strong need to find ways to contribute actively to society .
She credits three people with having a profound impact on her career . They include an older cousin from the same town in Indonesia – now COO at a European investment bank in Jakarta – who showed her what could be possible if she continued to stay the course , a university lecturer in operations management who stressed the importance of knowing one ’ s business environment and always asking questions , and a former chief information officer who challenged her and gave her opportunities to grow .
She noted that her biggest achievements include being resilient and pragmatic , leading teams through uncharted waters , and learning when to be a visible leader and when to be “ at the back planting the seeds ”.
“ Over the years , I have developed the ability to be cool in high-pressure situations and continue to do my thing ,” Lenny said .
