STORE DESIGN

P rogressive style is at the heart of a new store design from Indian fashion retailer Pantaloons .

The colourful new look burst onto the local retail scene last year at locations including Mumbai , Bangalore , Lucknow and Delhi .
London-based creative agency Dalziel & Pow is behind the concept , which aims to be a welcoming and inclusive fashionforward space .
The bright lights of a digital shopfront provide an eye-catching entrance to the store , and the customisable panels offer an opportunity for the brand to change up its messaging and inform customers of new product launches .
With a variety of different categories under the one roof , Pantaloons has designated spaces for womenswear , menswear and kidswear , the latter featuring a hot air balloon display to add an element of fun and playfulness . Denim and saris are also spotlighted in their own section with bold colours and materials drawing the consumer in .
The open layout serves to guide customers on their journey through each department . There are also curated ‘ what ' s hot ’ selections displayed on large translucent discs to offer inspiration for customers in a playful and positive way .
Fitting room technology includes a sensor pad on the floor that lights up a mirror in the middle of the space .
Beyond fashion , there is a dedicated “ beauty fix ” section which offers a range of cosmetic products for testing and a lifestyle section full of on-trend home decor products .
The Pantaloons brand is already well known in India for its quality and value , but this store redesign aims to place the brand at the forefront of trends .
Dalziel & Pow said the store experience reflects the brand ’ s new attitude and gives Pantaloons a “ unique and ownable voice ”.
“ Designed to be a flexible canvas , the stores deliver a constant sense of newness by acting as a stage for the latest trends ,” Dalziel & Pow said in a statement .
“ Every aspect of the customer journey has been addressed , adding life to the entire experience and filling the store with moments to discover .”
