“ Here, O My Lord, I See Thee Face to Face”
Horatius Bonar, 1855
Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face; Here would I touch and handle things unseen, Here grasp with firmer hand th’ eternal grace, And all my weariness upon Thee lean.
Here would I feed upon the bread of God, Here drink with Thee the royal wine of heav’ n; Here would I lay aside each earthly load, Here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiv’ n.
This is the hour of banquet and of song; This is the heav’ nly table spread for me: Here let me feast, and, feasting, still prolong The brief, bright hour of fellowship with Thee.
I have no help but Thine, nor do I need Another arm save Thine to lean upon: It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed; My strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone.
Mine is the sin, but Thine the righteousness; Mine is the guilt, but Thine the cleansing blood; Here is my robe, my refuge, and my peace, Thy blood, Thy righteousness, O Lord my God.

pring is a very busy time in the music ministry of the

Schurch.

The Sanctuary Choir has added several new choir members, and we are most grateful for that. We are preparing music for the Reformation Conference …..( March 23-25), Maundy Thursday, Easter, and the Kirkin’ service.
The Youth Choir continues rehearsing weekly from 4:00- 5:00 p. m. on Sunday afternoons and is preparing music for our services as well as for our annual Youth Choir trip.
We will have choir on Easter, April 16, since the trip is that following weekend, April 21-23. The choir will be heading to Charlotte, NC, this year, leaving on Friday, April 21, and returning on Sunday, April 23.
Rehearsal attendance is necessary for participation in this trip. Two absences are allowed from February-April 16. If more rehearsals are missed, the student needs to sing the music to me, to ensure knowledge of the music. Even with approved absences, the student will need to sing for me if more than two

Years 11-15“ Sun of My Soul Thou Savior Dear”

John Keble, 1820
Sun of my soul, thou Savior dear, It is not night if thou be near; O may no earth-born cloud arise To hide thee from thy servant’ s eyes.
When the soft dews of kindly sleep My weary eyelids gently steep, Be my last thought, how sweet to rest Forever on my Savior’ s breast.
Abide with me from morn till eve, For without thee I cannot live; Abide with me when night is nigh, For without thee I dare not die.
If some poor wand’ ring child of thine Have spurned today the voice divine, Now, Lord, the gracious work begin; Let him no more lie down in sin.
Watch by the sick; enrich the poor With blessings from thy boundless store; Be ev’ ry mourner’ s sleep tonight, Like infant’ s slumbers, pure and light.
Come near and bless us when we wake, Ere through the world our way we take, Till in the ocean of thy love We lose ourselves in heav’ n above.

rehearsals are missed. Mr. John Garnett has graciously agreed to plan the trip once again, and I greatly appreciate his expertise in doing so. The Youth Choir trip is an excellent time for the students to bond, since choir work is such a collaborative effort. The Choir trip is also a good way for our students to worship and serve in another congregation. We are looking forward to a wonderful time together.
The Chapel Choir is working on several difficult anthems, and we continue to work on learning basic choir skills, hopefully having fun while doing so. The Chapel Choir will be attending Summer Waves on May 20. Attendance at choir on Sunday night is the student’ s ticket to attending this fun event.
Please continue to pray for the Music Ministry of our church.
“ I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”( Psalm 104:33)
