The Lord’ s Supper The Lord’ s Supper will be observed during our evening service on February 5. Because of the exceptional blessing we have in this sacrament and the danger of eating and drinking unworthily, it is necessary that we come to it with knowledge, faith, repentance, love and with hungering and thirsting souls after Christ and His benefits. The congregation is encouraged to use all appointed means, public and private, to come to the Lord’ s Table, depending upon God for the gracious preparation of the heart according to His promise( Psalm 10:17). The next Lord’ s Supper will be held on Sunday evening, March 5, 2017.
Session / Diaconate Meeting Our regular Session / Diaconate meeting will be held on Monday evening, February 20, at 5:30 p. m. and 6:00 p. m. They will meet jointly at 6:30 p. m.
Dead Theologians’ Society The meeting for Dead Theologians’ Society’ s evening group will meet on Wednesday, March 1, at 7:00 p. m. at the home of Rev. Terry Johnson, 110 Lee Blvd. The other groups will meet on Thursday, March 2, at 6:45 a. m. for breakfast at Henry’ s Restaurant, 28 Drayton Street or for lunch at noon in the Administration Bldg. Read Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis( 1-114 pp.). Books available in the bookshop.
Tuesday Morning Circle
The Tuesday Morning Circle will meet on February 14, 10:30 a. m. at the home of Mrs. Melvis Edenfield, 111 Country Club Drive.
Thursday Morning Circle
The Thursday Morning Circle will meet on February 9, 10:30 a. m. at the home of Mrs. Susan Mullininx, 103 Baymeadow Point( Southbridge), 912-231-8885.
Georgia Heritage Sunday
Georgia Heritage Sunday will be celebrated during our morning worship service on February 12. Members and friends are encouraged to wear Colonial costumes or Scottish attire. Our tartan banners will be displayed and we will have bagpipers
participating.
I. P. C. Day Camp Registration Public enrollment begins on February 6 for the I. P. C. Day Camp. If you have not registered your child, please sign up as soon as possible to ensure a place for your child in camp. The sessions will fill very quickly.
I. P. C. Day Camp Scholarships This summer the Day Camp will again be bringing 20 campers from Urban Hope Ministry to camp. These scholarships cost the camp $ 145 each for a total of $ 2900. Anyone interested in contributing to this program, please contact Frankie Daniell( 421-8118) or email fdaniell @ ipcsav. org.
Annual Meeting The Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday morning, February 19, at 9:30 a. m. We will meet in Telfair Hall.
Flowers for 2017 The flowers in the sanctuary on Sundays are donated by the members of the congregation. This is a wonderful way to honor / memorialize a special person in your life. If you would like to donate flowers for 2017, please call Laurel Brewer at 912- 727-4418.
2017 Missions Conference
Our annual World Missions conference will be held on February 23-26. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday and Friday evening. A catered dinner will be provided each night at 5:45 p. m., prior to the one-hour service. Reservations are encouraged. Please make your reservations by completing the form provided in the bulletin each Sunday or online at ipcsav. org.
W. O. C. Women’ s Luncheon The I. P. C. Women of the Church invite all ladies to a luncheon on Friday, February 24, at 11:00 a. m. in the Fellowship Hall. Our speakers will be Sandi Kooistra, Andrea Kay, Alleen Tomas, and Stefany Mark. Lunch, catered by Teri Bell of Miss Sophie’ s, will be served at noon after the program. The cost is $ 12.( Note W. O. C. luncheon on the memo line of your check.) A nursery is provided at 10:30 a. m.( Please bring a snack or lunch for each child.)
Men’ s Missions Prayer Breakfast On Saturday, February 25, at 8:00 a. m. there will be a prayer breakfast for all men( boys able to sit through a two-hour meeting are welcome as well) in the Fellowship Hall. This full breakfast buffet will be prepared by Silk Road Catering. Prior to our time of prayer, Paul Kooistra, Tim Kay, Alex Mark, and Hermes Tomas will each give a brief missions challenge / prayer request. Make your reservation by completing the form available in the Sunday morning bulletins and placing it in the offering plate or mailing it to the church office including a check for $ 10 per person and noting on the memo line Men’ s Mission Prayer Breakfast.
