ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS C I B T he L ord ’ s S upper The Lord’s Supper will be observed during our morning service on April 2. Because of the exceptional blessing we have in this sacrament and the danger of eating and drinking unworthily, it is necessary that we come to it with knowledge, faith, repentance, love and with hungering and thirsting souls after Christ and His benefits. The congregation is encouraged to use all appointed means, public and private, to come to the Lord’s Table, depending upon God for the gracious preparation of the heart according to His promise (Psalm 10:17). The next Lord’s Supper will be held on Maundy Thursday, April 13, 2017. For May it will be in the evening of May 7. T uesday M orning C ircle The Tuesday Morning Circle will meet on April 11, 10:30 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Ernest Mitchell, 133 E. 50th Street, 232-1323. S ession /D iaconate M eeting S pring I nquirers ’ C lass The Spring Inquirers’ Class begins April 9 and will continue through May 21. It is held on Sundays during the Sunday School hour (9:30 a.m.) in the Administration Bldg., 2nd Floor, Classroom #72. The objective of this class is to introduce interested persons to the history, doctrine, practices, and people of our church. All are welcome. Nursery will be provided. Our regular Session/Diaconate meeting will be held on Monday evening April 24, at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. They will meet jointly at 6:30 p.m. D ead T heologians ’ S ociety The meeting for Dead Theologians’ Society’s evening group will meet on Wednesday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Rev. Terry Johnson, 110 Lee Blvd. The other groups will meet on Thursday, April 27, at 6:45 a.m. for breakfast at Henry’s Restaurant, 28 Drayton Street or for lunch at noon in the Administration Bldg. Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m. followed by the service and Lord’s Supper at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. K irkin ’ O’ the T artan S ervice The Kirkin’ O’ the Tartan Service has been moved to a new date, Sunday, May 14. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Douglas Kelly. Bagpipers will play and tartan banners will be displayed.
