Finance and Administration Committee Rick B. Mullininx The F&A committee is responsible for the overall operational matters of the church. We also work with Mr. Espinosa, Director of Administration, in support of his administrative duties. Our committee prepares the annual budget based on input from committee chairs, reviews monthly spending, and reports to the Session. Members of the 2017 F&A committee were Rick Mullininx (Chairman), Will Brodmann, Kenneth Crowe, Andrew Gibson, and Josh Espinosa. 1. Total tithes and offerings was $2,148,813. Adding funds from Trustees, trusts, foundations, and other revenues brought the total income for 2017 to $2,898,166. 2. We gave a total of $521,039 to mission causes outside the church. 3. Trustee funds in the amount of $148,101 were used for an HVAC pipe insulation. 4. We set a target reserve fund of $2.3M; Actual as of 12/31/17 is $1.9M. 5. Ameris Bank was selected for church operational funds. 6. Please see the Financial Statements. We are a blessed congregation to have such a fine staff and the financial means to support our ministry and maintain our facilities. Personnel Committee Report The Personnel Committee has oversight responsibilities for church staff and polices. Members of the 2017 committee were Rick Mullininx (Chairman), Dennis Boatright, Tim Barrett, David Gobel, Greg Brunson, John Garnett, and Josh Espinosa. 1. 2. 3. 4. Established an Ad-hoc committee to celebrate Terry and Emily’s 30 th year of ministry at I.P.C. Hired Maria Martinez as Financial Secretary. Outsourced kitchen management to Miss Sophie’s. Hired Twannala Frazier and Alisa Perry to work in the kitchen. Renovation Committee The Renovation Committee provided oversight and direction for the following projects in 2017: 1. 21 W. Oglethorpe Lane property, purchased in 2016 for $469,000, was refurbished and converted to intern living quarters at a cost of $108,000, bringing the total expenditure on the property to $567,000. 2. 2018 projects under consideration by the committee and subject to session approval are: a. Pew floor refurbishment b. Pew cushion reupholster or replacement c. Pavilion area for Point Pleasant 27
