Ron: I joined LWJ in 2010 after answering an ad for a Joe Perry/Jimmy
Page/Slash type guitarist. I was in a local cover band in Seacoast, New
Hampshire called Warhorse, and a few others before them. I've always done
originals until NH.
Jeff: I started with Gary about 14 months ago. His former bass player was
moving to Sweden. I had been looking for a band with this sound for a long
time, so I jumped on the opportunity to try out. I was in another band,
“American Mixer”, at the time, but the guys in my old band understood when I
left after I was hired by Gary.
MM: If you were allowed to label your own “genre” listing on iTunes to
describe LWJ, what would it be?
Brian: LWJ is the return of American hard rock.
Jeff: “Downright evil and sexy; all rolled up in one--this band and line-up are
the guys your mother warned you about”.
Ron: I would say “hard rock blues”.
Gary: I would say that we are melodic vocal hard rock with a blues and funk
edge and heavy grooves.
MM: If you had the chance to play with any musician, past or present,
alive or dead--who would it be?
Gary: My idol is Nikki Sixx from Motley Crüe, but I have always wanted to
share the stage with guys like John Fogerty.
Jeff: Well, as I said earlier, I've been waiting a long time to nd this sound and
attitude, so I'm already playing with them. But if I had to choose another then
it would be the greatest band in the world--Led Zeppelin.
