SWIRL is a Hard Rock band from Temecula, California, in the United States. The group was formed by guitarist DUANE “DT” JONES in Washington State. They released their debut CD “Out Of Nowhere” (produced by the team of CARLOS CAVAZO (QUIET RIOT) and MATT THORR (ROUGH CUTT). In 2013 they released their CD “SWIRL”, including 7 tracks (3 of which are featured in the movie “Ditch Day Massacre”, which stars Emmy Award-winning actor BILL OBERST JR. The film won the "Best Feature Film Award" at the 2014 BURBANK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL. Swirl has been the support act for many established Rock artists, including RATT, EXTREME, CINDERELLA, SLAUGHTER, LA GUNS, SOULS OF WE, RED DRAGON CARTEL, SKID ROW and many more. A totally killer track is “Time To Fly (Adrenaline)”, with its hard-rocking guitar riffs and energetic drums. This is a memorable song that lingers in the mind long after listening to it. VAN HALEN influences are present in “Rise Up” and there is def a dash of Glam Rock in “Spell”—with its bodacious bass work and in-your-face Passion just OOZES out of Swirl’s music! A melodic song a la SOUNDGARDEN is offered up by the track “Mad Disease (Sleepwalker)”. This song packs a punch and captures the listener’s heart! There are elements of a “Funk Flavor” in the song “Message” and I can close my eyes and conjure up images of CHICKENFOOT. And what a “kick ass” opener is the track “Fourth Of July”! Pure power! I love the brilliant guitar solo, which left me with more than ample goose bumps! And in my opinion, the song “We Are Alive”—which presents with many influences has “hit potential”. The guys from SWIRL have hit a home run with this CD. All the elements are there for a great Hard Rock CD…squealing guitars, thumping basslines and voracious vocals. This CD leaves a memorable impression that permeates the mind with its passion. It is retro, yet, with a modern feel and something I think every Hard Rock aficionado should include it their music library. http://www.swirltheband.com/ https://www.facebook.com/swirltheband
