RA: Yeah. Kerrang Magazine has got us in the “Top Ten Most Offensive Videos of All Time”. To be an offensive
band…you know, we’re not trying to be THE BEE GEES. We like being dubbed “offensive”. That’s our thing.
JP: Do you find yourselves to be offensive or realistic?
RA: It’s realistic man. If people take it as offensive….we write about the shit that people are bitchin’ about
constantly, but are too afraid to step up, open their mouth and say what they wanna say. We say it because
we don’t give a shit. We’re not going to candy coat nothin’. This is the way it is. I’m sorry that the government
sucks. That (there are) people that suck in this world. All this crap we gotta deal with, but we’re not gonna
look at it like it’s rainbows, unicorns and lollipops bull.
JP: Who produced your CD?
RA: I did a couple of albums with this guy, DREW MAZUREK, in Baltimore…he’s the best. I wouldn’t do a
record with anybody else.
JP: Isn’t he the guy that worked with DROWNING POOL?
RA: He’s done Drowning. He’s done SLAYER. He’s done
HELLYEAH. LINKIN PARK. Teaches at SHEFFIELD STUDIOS.
I mean he’s just phenomenal. I’ve done three albums with
him in the last seven years.
JP: Last year when you played here as Rabid Assassin, you
were new.
RA: Brand new
JP: Unfortunately, I had to bail on that show because of
other work obligations. When I got home, all I heard from
my son was “Dad, Rabid Assassin is the shit!”
RA: (All laughing)
JP: I said, “What do you mean?” He said, “They’re heavy.
They have this song ‘Ass, Gas or Grass’.”
RA: Back when I was a kid, it was “Ass, Gas or Grass”--nobody rides for free. We’re gonna try to make the
new video more vulgar than the other one.
