Letter from the Editor
ION Indie Magazine has enjoyed a meteoric rise in
the publishing world. Since our first issue,
launched in June of this year, our growth has been
a rapid one and our efforts have been embraced by
both the artists we feature and our readers alike. In
fact, our August issue doubled our readership! It is
equally rewarding to hear our artist’s music getting
actual airplay by our affiliate broadcasters, and that
their appearances in ION’s pages have garnered
significant attention for them--translating to real
opportunities. We will continue to act as a vehicle
to get Independent music read about and heard!
Our featured artist for September is the megatalented and inspirational Hip Hop artist CRUCIFIX!
ION Indie Magazine is proud to have this rising star
grace our cover. CRUCIFIX sat down with journalist JP RAWK and bared his soul for the readers of
ION. CRUCIFIX’S unique “slumrock” sound transcends across genre lines with a message for all
humanity. Besides his magnetic music, the CRUCIFIX backstory is a riveting one that really struck
a chord with this Editor. I invite you to immerse yourself in all things CRUCIFIX in the pages of the
September Issue of ION Indie Magazine.
We are excited to announce our first artist selected from over 2000 submissions received through
our partnership with REVERBNATION, Blues artist LAURA CHEADLE! Journalist J.B. BRIDGES, our
