After another 15 minutes just chatting about anything and everything, I made my way out of the
studio. As I was driving, all I could think about was my perception of Defending Cain. That perception
is that you can’t lump them in any one genre. I fully understand from a personal standpoint where
they are in their respective lives—and that they are fine being the proverbial “big fish in a little pond”.
I also know that their debut album “Elements” is and has been in my personal top 5 for over a year
now. The only other album to accomplish such a feat is QUEENSRŸCHE’S 1988 album “Operation
Mindcrime”. I believe that speaks volumes of this band and I fully intend to be on the upcoming
album “The Perception” when it comes out.
