They say that anticipating greatness without hard work, without struggle, and without learning and growing, is the route to
failure. That idea (or misguided attempt) is not something that DAVID GASCON (vocals and guitar), JEFF LANE (guitar), CODY
COOK (drums) and JAMEY MCELROY (bass)—collectively, VIOLENCE IN VANITY--have any plans on ever entertaining. The
passion, the drive, the hunger and the fans…these are the things that breathe life into Violence In Vanity. Learning from the
paths they’ve crossed and the journeys they have taken individually and collectively; it’s in this dynamic setting that it begins
to make sense to me--and that the intricacy that is in Violence In Vanity’s music as well as their live show is born. That is the
portrait we as fans are lucky to lay our eyes upon and catch a glimpse of.
Recently I had the opportunity to sit down with the guys from Violence In Vanity in THE LAIR, and talk about music,
collaboration, Apple Pie Moonshine…and so much more…
