ION : WHO HAVE BEEN YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES--IN BOTH YOUR LIVES AND YOUR MUSIC ?
Jason : That ' s a tough one to answer … in music--I know for Brandon — it ’ s people like RANDY RHOADS , ZAKK WYLDE , DIMEBAG DARRELL , STEVE VAI , MARK TREMONTI and DANNY ELFMAN . For me , it ' s a lot of the same guys . But I also like SLASH , VIVIAN CAMPBELL , BILL LEVERTY … a lot of the 80 ' s players . Neil ' s a totally different story ( LOL ). His guys are people like JASON WADE , EDDIE VEDDER , SCOTT STAPP , MARK TREMONTI and GARTH BROOKS .
ION : AS A BAND , WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE AND WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE MUSICALLY A FEW YEARS FROM NOW ?
Neil : I can ' t answer for the whole band , but I can tell you my personal hopes for the band . I can only hope that we continue to grow as musicians , friends , and as a band . I want to look back and say we touched people ' s lives--in even the smallest of positive ways . Personally , I hope to continue to be vulnerable and honest with my lyrics . Eventually , I hope that we are able to take our live show internationally , to reach so many of our overseas fans and followers . Music is such a passionate and moving vessel to connect people together , and I hope that Beyond the Fade continues to move our music forward and push the limits of our creativity . This time next year , the goal I hope to achieve is a national tour .
