O&M: You know what, we’re really looking forward to that one. That’s the type of audience we
draw pretty much. We are branching out and seeing where that takes us, but playing with someone
like David Allan Coe--who’s a legend--that’s a pretty big deal for us.
JP: You are releasing the “1919” EP on October 16th, correct?
O&M: You can order it through almost all of the digital media outlets, lik e AMAZON…You can
also order it through our website www.outlawsandmoonshine.com. There is a T shirt/CD package you
can order there.
JP: Would you embrace the Hard-driving Country Rock label that some would place you
under or is that something you would shy away from?
O&M: I would take that as a really big compliment. We’re just going and I’m not sure where we are
going. We just started writing music. We wrote ten or eleven songs and it sounded like something
Outlaws & Moonshine would do--we kept it and if not, we’d throw it away. We wouldn’t settle for
anything less and so…here we are.
JP: Where do you want to see the band in 3 years?
O&M: Ya know, I’d love to see us on huge tours. I kind of shoot for the stars. On tour with Lynyrd
Skynyrd or Brantley Gilbert. I would like to see us doing that kind of stuff. I’d like to see us doing
that before 3 years.
JP: How do you think you can make that happen?
O&M: By keeping doing what we’re doing…by working hard. Between the four of us, we’re
pretty disciplined. I know a lot of bands where the members live out of state (in different states from
one another). We all live within five or ten miles of one another. We get together a lot. We rehearse
like we’re playing it live. I think if we just keep focused on the big picture, it will happen.
JP: I hear everyone say live music is a tough sell these days. In a tight economy, why should
people spend their hard-earned money on an Outlaws & Moonshine show?
O&M: We give back. We have fun. Our songs are fun.
There’s no seriousness. There’s no political agenda in our
music. We just get back to the basics of having a good
time with hard- driving Country Rock, Southern-fried
stuff, Southern Rock/Rock…I think that’s what separates
us from anything that is out there now. And we put on a
show--we don’t just stand there.
JP: What about the CD? Who produced that for you?
O&M: VIC RIVERA, Bronx, NY.
