Vince: You started producing live shows less than a year after the station’s start. What was the driving force behind that? RTFX: Jeff Spicoli--see Fast Times at Ridgemont High for further details. Vince: How can bands submit to you? RTFX: Go to Submissions at www.neueregelradio.com. It will send to my e-mail. I get over 400 submissions a month, so please be patient…we will respond. Chris: Where did the name Neue Regel come from? RTFX: A track from 1986's Rage for Order from Queensryche. Vince: To what do you contribute your early quick success and worldwide acknowledgement? RTFX: Great Music! Without the amazing Independent artists, we wouldn't be where we are today. End of story! Chris: Who does your artwork? It's obviously original and specific for each show. RTFX: When you are impassioned about what you create, you want to make sure you give it your best effort across the board. In other words, yes, I create all of the art work. Chris: Of all the Indie bands that you play, who can you say has the potential to be a national success? RTFX: While that is a loaded question, there is not a weak track played on Neue Regel, but if you were to ask me who is musically ready and package-wise should be breaking, 5 artists immediately come to mind: Bellusira, out of L.A., Seven Deadly out of the U.K., 714 of Memphis, The Black Clouds from N.J and These Four Walls of Australia. Chris: Has anything ever made you want to pack it in and forget the whole thing? RTFX: I think as human beings we all have moments of doubt, and I would be lying if I didn't say that the stress and “back door” conversations get to me. Let’s face it; we live in a country that unfortunately builds up their heroes to God status, only to find that they are human and make mistakes, and then tears them down. At least once a day I get a message from a band that says “Thank You for caring about us like nobody else does.” It goes straight to the heart, puts the battery pack back in, and my foot to the floor going at the speed of sound. I believe in the good of humanity to steer themselves clear and arrive at conclusions with pureness of heart. That’s what keeps me believing in what I do.
