JP: You’ve had some lineup changes, with ZZ replacing STERLING as the last one about a year and a half ago. What makes you feel this lineup is THE lineup for SilverTung? Speed: Ummm, I don’t know if we can say it’s THE lineup. You never know. People change. Hearts change. Paths change. Danno: The core of the band is the key thing. Speed: I think the thing to look at is the strengths in the band. That is the key to any band. What are the strong points? What are the most dedicated points? That meaning, the members inside the band. A member change is a member change, as long as the core is still intact. Skoot: The core of the band has been intact for a long time. JP: We’ve talked about music being from the heart. I’ve always said Rockers have some of the biggest hearts of anybody out there. I know you guys have done a lot of charity work. Tell us about some of the causes you’ve lent your talents to. Skoot: We do charity stuff all the time. It could be Breast Cancer, Epilepsy, V.F.W., Autism. Danno: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Speed: The Wounded Warrior Project. The thing about the charities is it’s our way to give back to those who support us in doing what we do. To know that people want our music to be played at an event that is raising money for something, it’s mind blowing. It makes us feel good to be able to give back. JP: A little bit about your song “Never Too Late”… Skoot: Our song “Never Too Late”…when we have people coming up to us saying--and we’ve literally had people come up and say, “We didn’t pull the trigger because of your song “Never Too Late”, I didn’t cut myself because…I didn’t divorce my wife, We went to counseling, We reconciled because…” Speed: I didn’t quit my job because you’re right--it’s never too late to make things better. Skoot: We have so many people come up to us about that song specifically, and that blows our mind. JP: 2013, you guys kind of marched forward with the release of “Devil’s in the Details”. Your first release, “The Pawn”, was a favorite of mine. I find “Devil’s in the Details” to be a more diverse collection of songs. What do you attribute that to? Speed: The fans. They helped us write it.
