JL: Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll aren’t anything more then a joke. I don’t drink or take drugs, but still I play Rock music in a band that tours around the world. Rock music is an art form--not a reason to make a fool out of your self. KZ: Jesper, your guitar playing is really amazing! How long have you been playing? Do you have idols which you follow? JL: Thank you very much! I’m influenced by JIMMY PAGE, JEFF BUCKLEY, MICK RONSON and STEVE CLARK. They all have that sloppy playing that I have--feeling and emotion wins over speed and tapping. It’s all about the emotion. KZ: Will you record any tracks in the future in the Swedish language especially for your Swedish fans? JL: Actually we have already done that. We realized a single in September with a Swedish and a English version of our song “Victory Train”. The Swedish version is an anthem for our hometown’s hockey team ÖIK. KZ: What kind of music did you grow up on? Did you always want to be guitarist? Was your dream to be a famous Rockstar? JL: I’m raised on older music, true music. My brother got me into Rock ‘n’ Roll. He listened to bands like THE WHO, JETHRO TULL, LED ZEPPELIN and KISS. While my parents liked DR. HOOK, JANIS JOPLIN and Swedish poets like Fred Åkerström. Then I started to find my own music in my early teens and started to listen to Def Leppard and then I fell in love with Blues music. KZ: What do you think about the music scene in Sweden? JL: The music scene here is really hard to put a finger on. It´s mostly Metal music and then there’s Sleaze and Americana and some weird House/Pop.
