ANGIE HAZE knew from age 3 that the stage was calling her name, and began her auspicious career in earnest at age 16. "I started with school performances, and it stemmed from there. My first paid gig was at FIRST NIGHT (Akron, Ohio's annual downtown New Year's Eve Celebration), then I did LOCK 3 (Large amphitheater concert venue), and I haven't stopped since." Angie spoke of her early career, making an EP "Heat to Cold", and her experiences as a performer that galvanized into the dynamic style THE ANGIE HAZE PROJECT will bring to an upcoming show at the AKRON CIVIC THEATER as a headliner. “No flaunting, I wanted to be an artist, not just get up there and shake my butt. I wanted to inspire with my lyrics. Most (songwriters) stray away from vulnerability, but music is a POWEFUL tool.” She emphasized. Angie recounted telling her high school guidance counselor about her career choice. “I was adamant—I knew I always wanted to do this.” Telling Angie her goal was not realistic, he soon after witnessed her bring down the house singing at her graduation. “Discouragement fuels my drive. When people tell you that you can’t, that is really their insecurity.” Learn more about Angie Haze at her web site at www.theangiehazeproject.com/ or stop by her Facebook page and show her some love at: www.facebook.com/theangiehazeproject.
