protest group, if you will. But their main focus was the U. S. Government and DONALD TRUMP – and they are quite verbal on those two subjects( and not in a positive light). I also could not help but notice the backdrop for their set was an American flag that was upside down-- which is a sign of distress … go figure.
As stated, Anti-Flag was a supporting act, but after speaking to fans, most were there for Anti-Flag-- and boy, did I get it fast! It was one hell of a show! These guys are great! JUSTIN SANE on guitar and CHRIS BARKER playing the bass, kept this insane crowd on their ears. Circle pits were the order of the evening. Songs like“ Turn Coat”,“ The Press Corpse” and“ Die for the Government” had the audience whipped into a frenzy. It was like there was blood in the water-- and I was in a room of Great Whites … just an unbelievable performance.
Next on tap was Reel Big Fish. Now, I had already shot them before back in December of 2014( the same venue), so I knew what to expect. AARON BARRETT is the only original member left and one of coolest artist I have had the pleasure to meet-- always takes time for his fans. I caught him walking his dog behind Tricky, as you can see.
Reel Big Fish is a
Ska / Punk band that has been in existence for the past 22 years with 8 albums under their belts, and truth be told, just a real fun band to watch. Especially Aaron-- he puts on a great show … really hams it up to the crowd.
Songs like“ Sell Out”,“ Everyone Else is an Asshole”, and the crowd favorite,“ Beer”-- really had the joint jumping! It just really put a smile on my face to see that many people having a great time at once-- reminds me of the French Quarter.
This is a 20 year anniversary tour for both bands. You can see that they are seasoned veterans, and from where I was positioned, l can vouch that they are both still at the top of their game.
