This month’s ReverbNation pick comes from a tropical area across the seas, the capital and largest city in
Indonesia, Jakarta. Also known as “The New York of Indonesia”, Jakarta's metro area is the second most
populated area in the world.
With an area so large, you have to be different to stand out to catch the attention of fans. That was the first
challenge to this Punk-style band and they solved the problem while picking a name for the band. They
wanted a catchy name and came up with PEE WEE GASKINS, a famous--or infamous, if you will--mass
murderer.
They were nominees for 2012 AMI Rock Solo/Duo/Group. Having been featured in ROLLING STONE
Indonesia, HAI and TRAX, and also appearing on television shows, the likes of O CHANNEL’S “Demo”, MTV
Indonesia, RCTI'S "Dashyat" and SCTV's "Playlist". Their music was included on the soundtrack for the
movie "Married by Accident" (starring NIKITA WILLY). Needless to say, this group has found their groove
and knows how to work it!
